A solid wood frame with light on every side. We make each one for your table: its size, your wood and colour, the light colour you like and the height you play at. Ask for CRI 97+ and the cloth and the balls show their true colours.
IWhy a frame
Light comes from all four sides, so the corners and rails get as much as the middle. Tournament rules ask for exactly that: no bright spot in the centre.
Each ball is lit from several directions at once, so its shadow is small and soft instead of one long, hard streak.
The light shines down onto the cloth, and it dims, so you see the table and not the LEDs.
Nothing hangs over the middle of the table, so an overhead camera has a clear view for streaming, coaching or ball tracking.

IIITimber & finish
Solid oak in Danish oil, light oak or dark oak stain, as on the oak oval, plus a range of ten hand-applied stains. Pick a finish on the board, set the table, light and height on the right, and send it: the IVYLUX Team replies within 24 hours with a price and a sketch.
IVColour
CRI, the colour rendering index, measures how true colours look under a light compared with daylight, on a scale to 100. Most LED strips sit around 80. Ask for CRI 97+ and the cloth stays the colour you chose, and balls that sit close in colour are easy to tell apart.

VIThe workshop
Every pool table light is made by hand, one at a time, in our UK workshop. Tap a step to watch it in the film.
The parts are cut from solid oak on our CNC, to the size of your table.
Thin strips of oak are glued and clamped round a former, so the corners curve with the grain.
Sanded by hand and finished in Danish oil, or the stain you choose.
The LED line is fitted round the inside of the frame, then wired and tested.
A matching wooden canopy and steel cables, set to the height you play at.

Tell us your table and we size the light for it. As a guide, our standard frames are 150 × 80 cm for a 6 ft table, 200 × 80 cm for a 7 ft table and 230 × 130 cm for 8 ft and 9 ft tables. The oak oval is 150 × 50 cm. Snooker tables and every other size are made to measure.
Most home games rooms hang the light about 75–100 cm above the cloth, and we often suggest around 90 cm. For tournament play, the WPA asks for at least 102 cm (40 in) above the bed for a light that can be moved aside. The cables adjust, with up to 1 m of drop as standard and up to 2 m on request.
4000K natural white is the usual choice for play: crisp and close to daylight. 3000K warm white suits a games room that is also a lounge and matches warm lights elsewhere in the house. We also make 2700K and 6500K.

Yes. Choose a dimmable driver, a remote control or Alexa Wi-Fi control. Zigbee and other smart controls are available on request.
Yes. A frame leaves the centre of the table open for an overhead camera. The Pool Table Frame Light has a flicker-free driver, so video stays free of banding at any frame rate.
Every light is made by hand, to order, in our UK workshop. Allow 4–6 weeks from order to delivery. Standard sizes have free UK delivery on orders of £50 or more. Made-to-measure pool table lights are £200 to deliver to the UK, the EU or the US; large frames can be made in sections with hidden joints, so they travel safely.
Standard lights can be returned within 30 days of delivery: contact us first, and the return postage is paid by the customer. Made-to-measure and personalised lights cannot be returned for a change of mind. Every light has a 3-year warranty.
We recommend a qualified electrician. The light comes with its LED driver and an adjustable suspension kit, and can be wired for UK, EU or US electrics.
